The users very well received this issue since the release of OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard back in 2009.
MacOS 10.13 High Sierra Features
In comparison to the version released last year, this operating system has better features and several improvements in the already built in applications. Starting from Safari, which will now prevent auto- playing videos and ad tracking. Besides, you can do a more detailed search in the Mail App and split screens while writing emails to utilize 35% less disk space.
In addition to that, the photos app has been upgraded, with new layout, better sorting options and enhanced facial recognition capability- courtesy to the implementation of neural networks. High Sierra also offers to have increased storage facility which is more optimized and in accordance to the modern system.
Other improvements have been applied to the editing tools, file system where a new Apple File System (APF) has been introduced, replacing the 30 year old trend of HFS. This will make your Mac a lot of faster, while also being more secure because of the transparent and smooth integration of files at the back end.
One of the biggest and most awaited feature is that High Sierra will finally offer support for virtual reality headsets, namely the HTC Vive and Steam VR. However, for that to happen, you will need the Mac version of 2010 and later.
Bugs and Glitches
Soon after the release, there were a number of problems and technical faults reported while downloading and installation. Later, Apple released macOS High Sierra 10.13.1, an updated version that consists of security updates to fix the above problems. To download macOS High Sierra 10.13.1, click on the App Store and go to ‘Updates’ tab where you will find macOS 10.13.1 update. Back up all your files before you begin the update.
Despite the update, people have faced macOS High Sierra downloading problem where the download pauses after displaying an error message that it has failed.
Another issues occurred were macOS High Sierra install problems where the installation feature asks to download important content and says to try again later each time. One of the reasons why users face this problem is due to a number of downloads happening at the same time or a slow internet connectivity. If the problem persists, you can either reboot your Mac or log out of the store or restart the download. In addition, there could be a low disk space on your mac. For that, you must remove all the no longer needed files and then continue your download.
