Our childhood favorite is back in the market. Yes, you heard me right. Nintendo, winning hearts since a decade, has announced yet another mobile installment in its popular game Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp following their previous hits, Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Release Date
The Animal Crossing franchise is set to release on iOS and Android platforms on November 22, 2017. According to sources, the game is here a little early as compared to the date they announced earlier. You can download it from App Store and Google Play, but you will need an active internet connection both when you download and play. However, reports say that the issue will get better with time. One good news is that it is free to play except for the transactions you will need to do in the game.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Features
The game initially begins with creating your Nintendo account. If you have played any of the previously released Nintendo games, you will know the rules. After you sign in, pick your theme and create your character. This will be your avatar to play the entire game. You are required to choose a gender, and then choose how you want their appearance to be.
Next, is style. Once you start the game, you will be asked to choose a style by which a theme will appear for your gameplay. You can choose Natural, Cool, Cute or Sporty. This will later determine your campsite environment and the materials for crafting. The following campers are based on the style options:
- Apollo: Cool
- Goldie: Natural
- Jay: Sporty
- Rosie: Cute
Your task in the game is like an acting manager of a campsite. You have to help villagers/visiting animals by getting them the items they need in order to make them feel comfortable. In return, the villagers will give you materials that you can later use to place in your campsite.
One of the goals of Animal Crossing is to invite villagers to your Camping Van by having a specific list of items that they like. In addition, in order to fulfil this, you will have to craft the items on your own. Once you’re done catering animal requests, they will come, visit your campsite, and stay as long as the Campsite is full.
Crafting costs materials and you can earn that in form of rewards by completing the tasks that villagers ask you to do. Villagers will demand for fish, fruit and bugs and in return will offer you cotton, wood, steel and preserves. You can use these materials to craft the items the villagers like and so on.
The game has extraordinary features and a colorful environment that attracts all kinds of users. It’s the type of environment that a typical Nintendo game would offer.
